On the occasion of the 17th edition of the Venice Biennale of Architecture, Fondazione Berengo and WonderGlass unveiled GLASS to GLASS, an exhibition in which the world of contemporary art and the world of cutting-edge design meet through the medium of glass.

A selection of works conceived by internationally acclaimed contemporary artists and designers in collaboration with the glass artisans of Murano were presented at the Fondazione Berengo Art Space in Murano and the Berengo Collection in Venice.

Great Design Gallery

Immersed in a lunar environment, the public was invited to walk around an installation of 17 lights suspended in the center of the gallery at different heights, and discover the variety and uniqueness of each piece. Between craftsmanship and technology, the lamps with their sinuous and flexible shapes are made of transparent and colored Technogel® combined with elements of Murano glass that diffuse the light.

Gelatin Lux — a retrospective of Maria Grazia Rosin — took place in parallel at the Galerie Italienne (www.galerieitalienne.com) in Paris from 31 October to 3 December 2014.

MOLLIS LUX  light suspended series
A swarm of translucent, colored spaceships arrives from outer space and whir playfully above our heads. Their pulsating bodies are made of shiny, soft, sensual material. Protruding from their sides and from their belly underneath, their bulbous eyes of glass are held in place by soft eyelids. X-ray like traces hint at their internal organs.

Uno sciame di astronavi colorate, traslucide e trasparenti sorvola le nostre teste! Sono corpi fatti di una materia pulsante e luminescente, morbida e sensuale. La luce si irradia dai tre bulbi oculari di vetro, trattenuti da morbide palpebre,che si protendono ai lati e sul ventre.
